What you can do now

  • Holding right click on Hyprland keeps the cursor still while the camera turns, and the cursor no longer reappears a title-bar height higher after each drag (#56). If a drag ever sticks, CORDIAL_DRAG_LOCK=0 goes back to 0.28.0’s behaviour. Tested on Hyprland 0.56.2 with a virtual pointer, not yet with a real mouse.
  • Recordings carry the game’s own sound, not everything your desktop plays, so a call or music in another window stays out of the file. F9 starts and stops a recording while the game has focus, and the window title shows ● REC meanwhile. CORDIAL_RECORD_KEY changes the key or turns it off, and CORDIAL_RECORD_AUDIO=desktop keeps the old whole-desktop sound. (#33)
  • Typed text in multi-line boxes is drawn in the game’s colour. Under a light desktop theme it came out near-black, invisible on a dark game (#86).
  • No crash at start on compositors without GPU buffer sharing. Where the compositor does not offer zwp_linux_dmabuf (software-rendered sway, weston, cage), Vulkan can show nothing and Roblox could crash recording the error. Cordial now uses OpenGL ES there, which draws. CORDIAL_FORCE_VULKAN_WITHOUT_DMABUF=1 keeps Vulkan. (#63)

What is still broken

On X11, typed text is not drawn at all. Cordial’s editor exists only on Wayland, so on an X11 session what you type is sent but not shown. Recording has not captured a real game’s sound yet. It was tested with a tone played through Cordial, signed out. F9 is also Roblox’s developer-console key on desktop; change it with CORDIAL_RECORD_KEY if you need that. The signed-in startup freeze. Roblox can stop drawing on the loading screen after sign-in. The launcher restarts a client stuck that way, up to twice. Movement keys can be dead after joining a game. Move the mouse while the place loads and it does not happen (#29). The rest of the list in the 0.29.0 notes still applies, except the start-up crash above.
