What you can do now
- The signed-in startup freeze should stop. Roblox could stop drawing on
the loading screen after sign-in when Cordial’s settings call reached it just
before its first render step. Cordial now waits for that step before making
the call. Forcing the unsafe order on a loaded machine froze 2 of 2 launches
without the wait and 0 of 3 with it; across all forced launches, 3 of 9 froze
without it and 0 of 7 with it. That is one machine and too few launches to
call it proven, so please report a freeze if you still see one
(#92).
CORDIAL_POST_GATE=0turns the wait off.
What is still broken
If a freeze still happens, the log will carry apost gate: line; please
include it and the lines around Forcing finalize from the Roblox log. A
freeze after a slow start (Roblox taking about a second to reach its home
screen) may have another cause.
A startup crash on some machines right after “app bridge initialised”, on
NVIDIA, Intel and Steam Deck alike. We cannot reproduce it yet
(#109).
The rest of the list in the
0.33.0 notes still
applies.
